hi i'm back after hmm lets see .... one month plus hehe .
not that long right .
anw bet no one's coming to this page anw .

well , i've come with news .
I bet y'all have heard it anw ....
(if not where are you living ? under a rock ah ?)
well , it has been a week now .
a week since TK Band won a Gold .

Yup , just a Gold .
no honours no nothing .
yes , we didn't even come close to achieving Best Display Band .

But seriously , do we really need that ?

It has been 3 years .
3 years since i've joined the Best Band in The Land .
I still remember the day we were suppose to hand up our CCA options form ,
my mum die die wanted me to join NPCC ....
but i naughtily changed it to TK Band .

I don't know why , but all the choices i've made seems to be the right one .
My mum wanted to appeal to VS but i strongly objected no .
I mean , it's fate that im supposed to join TK , appeal for what -.-

Being in TK and TK Band has been one of my greatest choices ... EVER .
(goes to show that sometimes , mum doesn't really know best ....)

ANW , back to main point is that ,
to say that i never ever regretted joining TK Band would be a lie .
a big fat one .
Yes there were moments i thought to myself ,
"Why the hell didnt i join NPCC?"
and many times i wanted to pon .
(remember that point of time i pon-ned for 3-4 months in sec 2 ....?)

especially ever since i was painfully pulled out of main block in'08 ,
due to me falling sick for more than 3 weeks ,
and i landed my sorry ass in hospital for 2 weeks ,
and getting injected so many times like omg .

i still remember that faithful day Chin Kiat called me ,
telling me i've been replaced in the block .
how did i know ?
Cos that was the day i got discharged and i was all geared up to get back training .
but i guess fate thought otherwise .
so whatevs haha !

But after returning back to TK Band ,
i felt this fire and desire and flame burning deep inside my heart .
I always wanted to do my best in whatever i do ,
be it in drills or music .

i remembered last year indoor , when we got Gold ,
i cried while everyone else celebrated cos i wanted GWH .
HAHA .
Zul = WTH .

Anw what im saying is ,
So what if TK Band didnt win BDB or GWH anw ?
It was our HONOUR to perform for those who were there on 10th April ,
and it was especially my honour to be part of the greatest legacy ,
TK Band .

TK Band has molded me to become the hardworking achiever i am .
To never give up when faced with a challenge .
And to get back up on our feet instantaneously once we faced a setback .

TK Band taught me to be strong hearted , strong minded .
To push myself once you feel like giving up .

Cos a TK Band member never gives up .
Never .

So , you can bet your asses that two years later ,
or maybe next year even ,
that i will come back to see and help out with the legacy .
The legacy which is my family .

TK Band has morphed me from this fugly sec 1 -

to this matured and grounded person that i am now .
(not to mention a superb Uniform Master ahemahem :P)

I have been anymore proud to say that i am a TK Band member .
Or in the future , I am a TK Band alumni or i was from TK Band .

TK Band is awesome .
I Love TK Band .

And two years later , when we win GWH and BDB (hopefully!) ,
i for sure won't laugh or cheer and clap and celebrate the other band's lost .
why ?
Cos i know how it feels to have not win it .
2 competitions straight .

so instead of laughing and cheering and celebrating like a particular school ,
i will go up to any euphoniumist from the other school who i see crying ,
and tell them to not give up .
to stand up and fight back when faced with a setback .
just like how TK Band will be .

besides , TK Band loves a challenge (: .
And i'm a happy , motivated , gracious and a high I-personality kid .

To the greatest section Euphoniums !!!!!
gonna miss y'all but today wont be the last day y'all see me !!!
im coming back as alumni whether y'all like it or not :P .

Most of the top PSLE students from neighbourhood schools
Posted: 26 November 2009 1538 hrs

SINGAPORE: This year's top PSLE student is Qiu Biqing from Qifa Primary School. She had an aggregate score of 290.

Six other top PSLE students are also from neighbourhood schools. They include South View, Greenridge, Gongshang and Rulang.

It took a few glances at the result slip before reality sank in for Qiu Biqing.

She said: ”I can only say I am very surprised and kind of shocked.”

The 13-year-old had moved from Guangzhou four years ago with her family but she adapted to Singapore quickly.

She admits her toughest subject at school was English.

She said: “Even now I don't think I've conquered English completely. After the exam I go back and check the dictionary and find out that I've made quite a lot of mistakes. I think I'll continue to work hard and improve.”

Ms Uma Rani, Biqing’s form teacher, said: “She loves to read and I think that helped her tremendously. And for writing, which was also an area she was quite weak in, she’d write compositions almost every other day and pass it to me for comments and also discuss them with her friends who were slightly better writers than her.”

Over at Raffles Girl's Primary School, Syafiqah Nabilah was all smiles after emerging as this year's top Malay student.

Madhumitha Shridharan from St Hilda's Primary made her parents proud being one of the top two Indian students.

The other was Muhammad Saad Siddiqui from Anglo-Chinese Primary School.

Top Eurasian pupil, Samantha Annabelle Neubronner was also from Raffles Girls' Primary.

This year's Mathematics paper was a talking point among parents, students and teachers.

It was said to be exceptionally difficult.

Ms Uma Rani said: “I think we need to reflect on it. And yes, perhaps we need to expose them to questions that require them to think beyond what they're used to. We've already been doing that for many years but perhaps focus more from next year onwards.”

The wait for results is over for this year's batch of PSLE students.

Biqinq will get what her parents have promised - a fun-filled holiday to Australia before starting school at Raffles Girls' Secondary next year. - CNA/vm

NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONZ IN SCHOOL .
was the best amongst the other 2 concerts so far .

& its been the 3RD TIME THIS WEEK ,

anywho , national day celebration was nice !
the "warm-up" was okay .
Rifat has the best voice manz (in TK)
the Parade was great . no hiccups .

got cheated of their money at Eunos MRT ,
and went popula to buy stationary

in the morning had practice for today's performance ,

then we had batch snack .
